The
Denton FFA is also currently restoring a
1924 Elgin
Wonder B Windmill to be erected along side the TJ
Jones AG Barn when complete. This was a generous
donation by Chuck
Rickgauer of Tolar, TX. He and his wife operate
the Bed & Breakfast know as the Windmill Farm.
Visit his website and see his collection of windmills. (

Agriculture
Mechanics Projects are unique for getting students
involved in agriculture who otherwise might not be
connected with ranching or farming,
AG
Mechanic Projects must be built within one calendar year and
completed in time for the State Stock Show Circuit.
An AG Mechanics Project allows students to design and
build a project on their own, or as a team project.
There are
( 6 ) Six Divisions in state AG Mechanics shows:
-
Trailers
-
Agriculture machinery and equipment
-
Pickup
and truck accessories
-
Livestock and wildlife equipment
-
Home
convenience
-
Tractor
restoration ( Old tractors must date back to
1975 or earlier )
The
National FFA Agricultural Mechanics Career Development
is designed to recognize those students who have
developed the competencies necessary for success in the
constantly changing workplace.
