The
Denton FFA Chapter formed the Denton Junior FFA
for the purpose of enhancing and encouraging the
education of younger students who are interested in the
agricultural industry.
Activities in this
organization are to be limited to
exhibiting livestock
and poultry only.
Membership in the Denton Junior
FFA
organization is available to students enrolled in Denton
Independent School District elementary and middle
schools. Students must be at least in the third
grade and eight years old.
Participation in
Junior FFA may continue until the member becomes
eligible to enroll in the Agricultural Science and
Technology programs in DISD Schools. At that time
they will become a regular member of the Denton FFA
Chapter.
FFA Junior members
must be affiliated with a Denton FFA Chapter and attend
DISD schools. Out of district students who wish to participate in the
Denton Junior FFA program must receive DISD approval certified in
writing.
Jr FFA members are
encouraged to attend the local FFA Chapter meetings.
Local Chapter Officers will contact the Jr FFA members
and make them aware of meetings.
