VEHICLE / OWNER COMMENTS

This convertible is 1 of only 525 Mustang Convertibles painted Wimbledon White in 1972, this includes the 50 Parade Convertibles.   Edwin A Fagan, a Mustang enthusiast living in Englewood, FL had a local shop Starlite Customs of North Port, FL convert the vehicle into a Sprint Convertible Tribute in 1995.

I enjoy the attention generated by this beautiful Mustang convertible in local parades as well as cruising around North Texas.  Most people have forgotten or were never aware of the Sprint Edition Mustangs of 1972.  The story of Ford's Olympic tribute and the 50 parade cars generates a lot of interest.

The vehicle options differences from the original Sprint Convertibles are; Factory A/C and standard chrome trim.  And of course 15" Magnum 500 Wheels with BF Goodrich T/A Radials that I added.

This vehicle's VIN number is interesting.  It would sequentially be the next VIN number from the last convertible's VIN number of the original 50 convertibles produced, with exactly a 50,000 unit skip.

In 2008 I did a complete restoration of the entire interior of the Convertible.  This was the second interior restoration, the first done by Edwin Fagan in 1995.  I am planning to freshen or re-paint the exterior in 2009, economy permitting!
