Car was sold by Newman
Ford of Innisfail, Alberta to a local buyer named Jim Church. He
traded the car back in to Newman Ford in March of 1974 at which
time I purchased it
I
purchased the car with 21000 miles, but I purchased it sight
unseen, before it was actually traded in. I had been dealing on a
71 Mustang, but snoozed too long and it got sold. The salesman was
a family friend and he told me he had a better car coming in on a
trade, when he told me which one I bought it right there and then.
I
remembered having looked at the ``Sprint`` in the showroom at the
dealership when it was new and wishing someday... Well now 37
years later the car has just over 60000 miles (see, I do drive
it!) and still has the original white paint. The blue was
repainted when I bought the car due to fading on the hood and
``gravel rash`` on the rocker panels. It now lives the good life
in heated storage only to see the outside world on sunny summer
days!.
